how does the gate work? It appears to me in the last sector. I fly to it but nothing activates, as if the sector was empty. I have to do something or meet something before the gate visit?

I am having some issue in the Lylmik Core sector. After viziting my chosen sponsor, they gave me a quest to battle another ship, but no quest marker appeared. I Vizited the whole sector, including the council beacon, which i couldn't acces because i didn't have a sponsor. Is there anything else i can do, or is this run lost? Attaching sector image. Next time try to go direcly to the sponsor location. |

I wasn't very clear in my post, when i first vizited my sponsor location, there were quite a few unexplored beacons, But no quest appeared. I explored them all, after checking the sponsor out, in the hope that the quest location just wasnt tagged.

Update 3.0.2 Updated gate fight to be more clear on the mechanics. Other bug fixes.
It's possible I'm missing something obvious here, but I still can't do it. I get into the fight, I let the timer run out and the enemy ship escapes, leaving me behind. Their weapons/artillery are still online, I'm getting hit by the grapple weapon, and I still don't get pulled along for the ride.
Edit: I managed to pull it off. Still not entirely sure what I was doing wrong before, but at least now I know its possible.

Also, I used cheats to unlock some of the Lylmik ships, and found that one of the "B" variants (the one with the armoured shields) seems to have a dodgy layout. Crew can't move front he front of the ship to the back, as a couple of the internal doors are actually external airlocks.

Here i am with another lost (i think) run. imgur.com/a/XJPSO2wI defeated the baron, tried to jump away, and the game crashed. upon reloading, the beacon to jump to the next sector is gone. Is there anything i can do? yes, i am salty. |
