In that case you should be happy to hear that I will soon add artillery to my ships in Go Ballistic as well as this mod where they best fit. I am always fascinated with and interested in adding ships that are not a cruiser type vessel and thus for some vessels an artillery system may not be appropriate. Such as if the ship can't fit an artillery system on it or otherwise wouldn't fit (ie: anything smaller than a cruiser type vessel).
I might tweak how the artillery can be obtained such as requiring you to be at a store to do it but it's still something I am thinking on.
And yeah! Sometimes it be like that with weapons. Sometimes you never find it and other runs you see them exclusively. I do intend to add a smuggler character that would offer a store that sells exclusively content from this mod. Currently this mod is very much focused on the AI faction and stuff but I will branch it out into other things to explore into other multiverse goodies in a similar likeness to the content of TRC but differently (though TRC 2.0 100% gave me inspiration to lean into this direction). So hopefully it would become a bit easier in a later date.

I am most certainly planning on engaging with the idea of adding events, quests, encounters, and even a sector related to the Holograms. I even have a track/ OS already finished for it! But events and even more so an entire sector will take time for me to implement and I have become the lead artist for Multiverse. So it saddens me to say but you shouldn't be expecting it too soon. Ah sounds exciting! (though i hope i wont have to fight 10 ai renegades in row). Anyways congrats on becoming lead artist , im sure you will do great! Especially after seeing how all those ships of yours look like (love how antique c looks so rusty and old!).

Renegade has been reworked as we speak out of its current arsenal currently. My current list are my interpretation of the "Burst Scatter Laser" from CE (similar stats but 25% chance to deal regular damage instead of just hull damage), Ion weapons, and EMP's with Heavy Laser Drones as well as nerfing its reactor a bit. The sector I intend to add first would be a hidden variant of an Abandoned Sector or Uncharted Nebula that sneaks most of the AI ships into them as encounters. Not a 'unique sector' thing in mind just yet with unlocks and stuff like an MV's [!] sectors but unique in that they only spawn once in a sector respectively. The enemies there off will currently be an Interceptor and Assault type vessels with plans to add more when I have free time from sprite work for MV though my goal currently is around 7 ship types total. Of these ships they should use a standard weapon list in their theme and from there their strength shouldn't be too out there unless the weapons in this mod turns out to be particularly nasty on the receiving end which I do hope people report. Thank you for the Antique Kestrel type C! The base sprite and idea was Felipe's. I had worked into and finalized it more but weathering and rust was my favorite part of it albeit a part i struggle to replicate perfectly as I do not exactly know Felipe's technique.

Been busy with MV recently as well as moving in but I have chipped away at this with a few things here and there and might have something that might appear to be an update for this mod. Yippee.
Currently slotted are Burst Scatter Lasers, another weapon inspired from a cluster far away these are similar to burst lasers but do not deal internal damage (system or crew). But they do have currently a 1/4 chance to do so with the Burst Scatter laser mark I firing 2 shots at 1 power with a quicker cooldown compared to the BL1 and the mark II fires 4 shots at 2 power with a rather long cooldown compared to the BL2 currently. A flak variant also exists which excels in just saturating an area under fire, an anti-ship combat drone that fires a single shot, and a defense drone that fires a tight spread of shots at projectiles.
With this also comes Plasma Projectors! An incendiary flak weapon that has a high chance to cause fires and chance to deal damage depending on the percent of the room on fire. With a mark 1, 2, and 3 currently at 1, 2, and 3 power. Included with this is a pair of drones, a single shot variation and a triple shot flak one.
A new renegade encounter based on the new ship type in the mod. The Assault! Hopefully you'll encounter the regular AI enemies now as I now have added some encounters and few surprises...
What are you guys most excited for and what are you looking forward too? Also, I intend to make a Renegade of the AI Cruiser Type B or C I think and I am fascinated to hear what you guys think the MV Renegade loot drop from them should be like! Do you want a Beam from the C that increases in damage or shield piercing depending on the number of drones up? Or perhaps a weapon that stacks benefits with each drone up along with a chance to spawn drones per hit? Perhaps renegade loot based on the B like a bomb that spawns a few temporary Avatars or an EMP weapon that deals crippling damage when it hits ionised rooms?

As for what I'd personally like to see as renegade loot... The emp damaged explored more for sure! Or perhaps a drone that spawns more drones the longer it is alive? Incentivising fights that last longer, and focusing on player survival?

Hi,
Just wanted to question if anyone else had had crashes upon going into this mods newly created sectors? I've had two now, and between that time I have been able to visit the sector without crashing. The first time I could just continue my run after the crash, but this time it will not let me continue, just crashes immediately.
Any ideas or anyone else sharing this problem?

This has been reported a few times but unfortunately no one was able to provide any logs to me of these crashes. I do know that nebulae have a fickled history of being sensitive to generation and sometimes gets upset. However, Pepson has attempted to fix a couple potential sources of this issue so it may be worth downloading v3.0.2 and seeing if it persists, if you do crash here on generation do pass onto me your crash logs please.

I had to put Vertex-Util after Multiverse for AI.Cruiser to detect it. Weird as it's a Hyperspace addon. Edit: Just realized why this is happening. Multiverse includes patches from hyperspace, so it needs to be patched after multiverse. Derp!

Aye, Vertex-Util I do believe mentions that it has to be patched after Multiverse (honestly can't think of many mods that should be done before MV) but in front of everything else.

Thx for the mod, but please, try to avoid "findWithChildLike" with text matching. There are several localizations available for original MV and any of them break loading of your mod just because 3 uses of text matching in events_special_storage.xml.append.
