Still trying to figure out how to unlock new ship, nonetheless having fun with new drones and weapons I updated the mod, you should be able to find the new ship more easely, in the Hektar Mega-Market(TM) sector.

Just been playing with this, and I found a bug. When you install the bio module into the missile artillery on the type B, it only has one shield piercing instead of 10. I haven't test other modules

attempting to fire the modular mine launcher with just the power module installed crashes my game. oddly enough, the base minelauncher works just fine, as does a minelauncher with both power and anti-bio modules installed? no idea what other combos work, that's just what I happened to have on hand to test with.

Attaching hullbuster to a modular pinpoint raises the breach chance to 100%, but attaching pierce to it afterwards reduces it to 50%. I don't think that's supposed to happen. Also hullbuster pinpoints deal 4 hull + system damage which is quite OP. It's supposed to deal reduced system damage according to the module description but that isn't the case. Modular laser artillery claims to fire 2 damage lasers when hovering over it but actually fires 1 damage lasers (tested with accuracy module). Medbay in modular cruiser B only fits 1 crew member despite looking like it'd fit 2 like the Nisos (vanilla fed b), there's a typo in the artillery description "Fires a powerful missiles" and there's a weird purple blob in the drone room. Base modular ion drone does as much as a 3 power amp ion drone for only 2 power which is pretty unbalanced.

Got to sector 8 using only the artillery, but the achievement didn't fire. I came into sector 8 through the Hektar sector, might this have had something to do with it?
